Entertainment Media Engineering at the University of Missouri. These past
months have been an exciting process establishing the Center, an entirely
new curriculum with focused course planning. At the Center, we share
a collected vision which makes our work meaningful and increases our
abilty to forge many promising professional alliances. We hope you enjoy your

What is the CEME mission?
|
|
As part of its Mission, the Center
for Entertainment Media Engineering will develop students and
research that will benefit the University and the media management
and media production industries. The Center will develop professionals
and research that will be far-reaching and innovative employing research
methodology, primarily based on Open Source Linux distributions and
applications. The goal of the Center will be to create innovative programs
that will benefit the University and the Center in the fields of broadcast
television, gaming, film production, and media-based management research.
Additonally, the Center will develop a Linux distribution that
will initially seek to support such commonly utlized programs such as Maya,
Softimage, Avid, and Cinelerra. The Center for Broadcast and Entertainment
Media Engineering at the University of Missouri is the first such
University Center. The Center consists of researchers and student and developers
from within the University and from the private and Corporate sectors, including
Linux Media Arts and AMD.
We seek researchers, students, corporate partners, government interest,
and productive interest from all responsible parties. Please feel free to
